Getting started with GoldBridge

From purchase to live trading in under 10 minutes.

Prerequisites

What you'll need

MT5 on Windows

MetaTrader 5 desktop installed on a Windows PC or VPS.

XAUUSD & XAUEUR

Both pairs available at your broker, visible in Market Watch.

$200+ balance

Minimum recommended account balance for proper lot sizing.

Installation

Step-by-step installation

  1. 01

    Check your email

    After purchase, look for an email from GoldBridge containing your compiled .ex5 file (bound to your MT5 account number).

  2. 02

    Open MT5 Data Folder

    File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Experts. Copy your .ex5 file into this folder.

  3. 03

    Refresh the Navigator

    Ctrl + N → Expert Advisors → right-click → Refresh. GoldBridge appears in the list.

  4. 04

    Attach to XAUUSD chart

    Open any XAUUSD chart. Drag GoldBridge from Navigator onto the chart.

  5. 05

    Configure

    Confirm lot size in the settings window. Click OK.

  6. 06

    Enable AutoTrading

    Click AutoTrading in the toolbar (green = active). A smiley face in the chart corner confirms the EA is running.

Keep it running around the clock

For continuous, hands-off operation, host MT5 on a Windows VPS. Any provider with low latency to your broker server will work — what matters is uptime and connection stability.

  • Windows Server 2019 or later
  • Minimum 2GB RAM
  • Low latency to broker server
  • Stable network & auto-restart on reboot
Troubleshooting

Common issues

Confirm .ex5 is in MQL5/Experts folder, not Scripts or Indicators.
AutoTrading is disabled. Enable it in the toolbar. Also check: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow algo trading.
Verify both XAUUSD and XAUEUR are in Market Watch. Confirm $200+ balance.
The EA is compiled for your specific MT5 account number. Confirm you are running it on the exact account registered at checkout.
